If anyone tells you the Alabama Gulf Coast goes quiet after summer, they have never spent early November here. The first full week of November brings one of the most vibrant event lineups on our entire calendar: legendary acoustic songwriters, fresh-harvested Gulf oysters, and the world-renowned Blue Angels roaring over home waters.
With comfortable daytime temperatures in the low 70s and low humidity, it is the ideal time to spend the afternoon outdoors and the evenings listening to live music along the water.
Frank Brown Songwriters' Festival: November 5–15, 2026
The 42nd Annual Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival spans 11 days across more than two dozen stages along the Florida/Alabama coastline, including the Flora-Bama, LuLu's, and intimate Gulf Shores and Orange Beach listening rooms. Over 200 nationally recognized Grammy winners and rising songwriters come together to perform original songs and share the stories behind the hits.
Experience the Oyster at The Hangout: November 6–7, 2026
Seafood lovers will want to head to Gulf Shores on Friday and Saturday for Experience the Oyster (presented by Murder Point Oysters). The event kicks off with an exclusive Friday evening soirée at Zeke's Restaurant, followed by Saturday's main tasting in the courtyard at The Hangout from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Expect raw, char-grilled, and stewed oysters from premier coastal farms, fire-grilled steak bites, craft beer, and live SEC football on the big screens.
Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show: November 6–7, 2026
Just across the bay at Naval Air Station Pensacola, the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron closes out its 2026 season with the official Homecoming Air Show on Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. with free general admission and parking. Seeing the six blue-and-gold F/A-18 Super Hornets carve tight diamond formations over the coast is an unforgettable Gulf Coast tradition.
Buyer Takeaway
November demonstrates why coastal Alabama property owners value shoulder season so highly. You get all the world-class entertainment, fresh seafood, and active coastal culture without the peak-season beach traffic. When evaluating neighborhoods, consider how easily you can get to local entertainment hubs while still enjoying a peaceful residential sanctuary to come home to.
